So you’ve agreed to sit down with Talk Commerce at an upcoming event. First off, thank you. We know your time is valuable, especially on the conference floor. Here’s what to expect so there are no surprises.
Quick Video Clips
These are the most common format you’ll see from us at events. Short, punchy videos shot right on the expo floor or in a hallway. Think 60 to 90 seconds, one or two questions, done.
We’ll ask you something specific to your expertise or your company’s focus. No scripts. No teleprompters. Just a quick, authentic conversation. These clips get shared on LinkedIn, X, and our social channels, so they travel fast.
What you need to do: Show up, be yourself, and give us a good soundbite. That’s it.
Written Interviews
Sometimes we go deeper. A written interview is a one-on-one conversation where we ask 5 to 8 questions about your background, your take on the industry, and what you’re working on. We record the conversation (audio only) so we can capture your actual words, then we edit it into a published Q&A on talk-commerce.com.
You’ll get to review the final piece before it goes live. We want your voice to come through, not ours.
What you need to do: Block about 20 minutes. We’ll handle the rest.
Podcast Episodes
If we’re set up with a podcast booth at the event (like we do at Shoptalk), we may invite you to record a full episode of the Talk Commerce podcast. These run 20 to 30 minutes and go out on all major podcast platforms plus a blog post on our site.
The format is conversational. We’ll have a loose outline of topics, but the best episodes happen when we just talk. No need to prep a presentation or have talking points memorized.
What you need to do: Bring your perspective and be ready for a real conversation.
Something Else Entirely
We’re always open to new formats. If you have an idea for a collaboration, a joint webinar, a co-authored piece, a live demo, whatever it is, pitch it. The worst we’ll say is “not this time.” The best case is we build something great together.
